Another guitar waltz composed by Henry Ortiz of Santa Fe, New Mexico. This tune was a hit and was picked up by traditional musicians across Northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. It’s one of the rare waltzes that survived the transition to electric guitar-based music and became part of the repertoire of the New Mexico Spanish Music genre. It is still heard regularly on commercial radio from Albuquerque to Denver.
