Ken Keppeler and Jeanie McLerie (Bayou Seco) learned this haunting melody from Vicente Aragón, of Cuba, New Mexico, and we learned it from Ken on a visit to Silver City. We experimented in our arrangement by adding viola, bowed bass, piano and pump organ to the original instrumentation.
